EPISODE 3: WATCH THIS WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE NOT ENOUGH

Growing up as an Asian Canadian, comparing one kid to another was the norm.

Who’s doing better in school? Who got fatter? Who is better at xyz?

And when you grow up with this mentality like myself, your self-esteem can become fragile because it all depends on how you compare to the person beside you.

So if you ever feel like you’re not enough because someone else is better, please listen to me.

No one in this world has your experience, your history, your story. No one is you! Your mom’s egg (which only gets released once a month…if maybe) and your dad’s single sperm (out of 200 million) came together and it’s a freaking miracle YOU were created.

For those who have struggled to conceive, you know what I’m talking about.

There will always be people who are better off than you. There will always be people who are worst off than you.

Look up for a moment from your phone if you’re in a public a place, see that guy or girl waiting in line, crossing the street, waiting for the bus…whatever, they may or may not be having a better day than you.

You have your own unique set of skills and abilities, strengths and weaknesses, values and beliefs. You may share some of these things with another person but the combination is what makes you who you are.

So stop comparing yourself to others.

Watch this if you’ve ever felt like you weren’t enough.

Because you actually are!

What were you compared for as a kid? Were you the better kid or the one that needed improving?

If you have any ideas for topics you’d like me to talk about, leave in the comments below!
